The Metabo HPT Wall Chaser, MFE 40 (646040620) is a 5”, 15-amp, variable-depth grinding tool made in Germany for professional-grade performance in routing channels for electrical wiring, cables, and empty pipes into plaster, concrete, and masonry up to 3/8”–1 9/16” (40 mm) deep.
It features a powerful LongLife motor with dust protection and a two-stage high-power drive system that maintains constant speed through Metabo HPT’s Tacho-Constamatic full-wave electronics, delivering up to 5,000 RPM no-load and 4,400 RPM underload. The die-cast aluminum cover with rubber rollers ensures smooth, comfortable guidance, while sliding cut visibility enhances accuracy.
Safety and durability are optimized via electronic soft start, restart protection, overload signaling LEDs, and Metabo HPT’s S-Automatic torque-limiting.
The tool connects easily to a Metabo HPT vacuum for low-dust operation. The tool comes with two diamond cutting discs, spacer rings, a chase extraction chisel, a wrench, and a durable plastic carrying case.
